George E. Hardink, Jr.

November 25, 1938 — April 8, 2011

George E. Hardink Jr., 72, of Lauderdale Dr., Narragansett, died unexpectedly Friday April 8, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Gloria (Kindeforski) Hardink for fifty years. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of Dorothy (Bibeault) Hardink of Watauga, TX and the late George E. Hardink Sr. Mr. Hardink was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He worked as an electrician at the Naval Rework Facility at Quonset Point, The U.R. I. Bay Campus and was an electrician and foreman at General Dynamics Electric Boat Quonset before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and walking the seawall and beach at Narragansett Pier. He was the father of Doreen Hardink Keeley of Charlestown and Gary E. Hardink of Coventry; brother of Pamela King of Watauga, TX; treasured grandfather to Elizabeth and Katrina Hardink, Shannon, Charlotte and Michael Keeley; and great grandfather to Natalya Luciano and Issac Mullen. Services will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriner’s Burn Hospital for Children,51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114-2623.
