George Hadfield, Iii

George Hadfield, III, 80, of Wakefield, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018. He was the companion of Sheila Andrews and the husband of the late Joan (Leach) Hadfield. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late George, Jr. and Mary (Higgins) Hadfield. He was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island. Mr. Hadfield was a stock broker who traded on Wall Street. After retiring, he enjoyed skiing, sailing, golfing, antique sports cars, and smoking a fine cigar. Besides his companion, he is survived by his four children, George Hadfield, IV of North Kingstown, Patrick Hadfield of Portsmouth, Jamie Hadfield of New Jersey, and Jill Eastman of South Kingstown and six grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018, from 9 10 am in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, followed by a funeral service at 10 am.
