George J. Dumas

George J. Dumas, 82, of Healey Brook Ct., Wakefield, passed away Monday at South County Hospital. He was the husband of Denise (Girouard) Dumas, they had been married for 59 years. Born in Hartford, CT., a son of the late Joseph P. and Edouina (Gagne) Dumas. Mr. Dumas was an inventory controller for Hamilton Standard Manufacturing Co. for 32 years and a Korean War Air Force Veteran. Besides his wife he is survived by a son, Richard J. Dumas and his wife Julie of Ashaway; three grandchildren, Christopher j., Paul R. and Curt F. Dumas; two great-grandchildren, Ellyse Jean and Sadie Ann Dumas; five sisters, Theresa Monahan of Bolton, CT., Cecile Sullo of Rocky Hill, CT., Bernadette Joiner in Florida, Dolores Embleton of Berlin, CT. and Madeline Discenza of West Hartford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at 11 am. Burial will be in St Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale. Visitation Wednesday 9:30 - 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers contributions to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield, RI 02879, in his memory would be appreciated.
