George A. Carr

George A. Carr, 90, of West Kingston, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025 at South County Hospital. Born in Richmond, RI, he was the son of the late Orin and Lillian (Rose) Carr. He was married to Susan E. Richmond Carr and had seven children together.

George was an Army veteran. He worked at Kenyon Peace and Dye Works until his retirement.

He is survived by four children, George A. Carr, Jr. and his wife Lisa, Susan E. Carr-Lambert, Katherine I. Dimon and her husband Dennis, Connie A. Carr-DeChristopher, fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Betty A. Carr, Charles E. Carr and Carol A. Carr and brother of the late Cora E. Carr-Richmond.

Committal prayers will take place at 10 AM on March 22, 2025 at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI. Relatives and friends may meet at 9:45 AM in front of the Administration Building.
