Genevieve Geaber

Genevieve Geaber, 94, of Wakefield, passed away on Wednesday. Born in South Kingstown, she was a daughter of the late Philip F. and Hazel E. (Kontos) Geaber. Miss. Geaber was employed at the University of Rhode Island for many years. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church where she sang in the choir, and she enjoyed listening to music. She is survived by her niece and caregiver for the past few years, Rose Ann Geaber of Wakefield, as well as many other nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Adeline E. McCormick, George L. Geaber, and Joseph P. Geaber, Sr. Visiting hours will be at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Wednesday, 9:30 am 10:30 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Continuum Care Hospice, 1350 Division Road, Suite 205, West Warwick, RI 02893.
