Gene Skip Pearson

Gene "Skip" Pearson, 56, of Wakefield, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday June 18th. Born in Sarasota, FL, he was a son of the late Robert J. and Jeanne M. (Connors) Pearson. Skip was currently employed by the South Kingstown School Department. He served honorably in the United States Coast Guard. A talented musician, he enjoyed playing his guitar in his spare time. He is survived by three brothers, Robby, Jon, and Joel; a nephew Alby; two nieces, Mae and Cassie; his childhood friend Tommy; and was a friend of Bill W. Visiting hours will be held at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Tuesday, June 25, from 4-6 pm, followed by a funeral service at 6 pm. Burial will be private.
