Gail A. Haines, born March 21,1939 to Hubert and Eva Kelley in Limestone, Maine, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026, in Wakefield, RI. She is survived by her daughter Robin Whewell, grandchildren Autumn, Austin and his wife Abby, a brother John Paul Kelley and his wife Margaret (Peggy), numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. 

She graduated from Westerly High School in 1957, worked as a laboratory technologist in California, Australia, and Westerly Hospital. Graduated in 1985 with a BA degree at URI where she also worked, and taught theatre 100 as part of her credits towards BA. She loved the arts, traveling, volunteering at the Westerly Animal Shelter, and Mystic Aquarium. She was 87 years old.

There will be a celebration of Life at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Charlestown, RI, on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 10AM. Interment will be private at a later date.
