Frederick A. Welch

Frederick A. Welch, 78, of South Kingstown, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Audrey (Bagge) Welch. Born in Everett, MA, he was the son of the late Frederick A. Sr. and Martina Welch. Mr. Welch was a Korean War Veteran serving with the U.S. Marines. He worked in management and sales in the automobile industry for over fifty years. He was a Past President of the East Greenwich Lions Club, a member of Friendly Sons of St. Patrick and East Greenwich Fireman’s Club. Besides his wife he leaves a daughter Kathleen Joyce and her husband Vincent; grandson, Timothy Joyce; brother, Frank Welch and sister Dorothy Records. He was the brother of the late Chester Welch. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Veronica Chapel, 1035 Boston Neck Rd., Narragansett. Burial with military honors will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-7 p.m. in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield.
