Freda Lillian Rhodes

Freda L. Rhodes, 89, of Wakefield, died Saturday. She was the wife of the late William H. Rhodes, Jr. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Lillian (Danz) Leah. Mrs. Rhodes worked for the State School Lunch Program in Burriville for many years, retiring in 1985. After retiring, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by two children, Barbara Allan of Wakefield, and William H. Rhodes, III of Fayetteville, Arkansas; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary K. Leah of Pawtucket and Barbara Andersen of Green Valley, AZ. She was the sister of the late Albert Leah and Clinton Leah. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 10 – 11 AM at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, followed by a funeral service at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
