Frank O. Waterman

Frank O. Waterman, 71, of Starfish Drive, Narragansett and formerly of Cumberland, died Tuesday. He was the husband of Harriet (Armington) Waterman. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Frank M. and Dorothea M. (Pelkey) Waterman, and he was a descendent of Roger Williams. He was a gradute of Hebron Academy and Northeastern University, where he played on their hockey teams. Mr. Waterman was the President/Owner of Waterman Associates, which was founded in 1970. He was a member of the Rhode Island and National Land Surveyors, the American Conference Society (ACS), the Providence Engineering Society (PES) and the Masons Lafayette Lodge, Cumberland. Mr. Waterman was very active in the Cumberland community, coaching Little League and youth hockey. He was one of the founders of the Cumberland Hockey League and also served as a referee. Besides his wife he is survived by four children; David A. Waterman of Canton, MA, Deborah P. Waterman of Narragansett, Richard E. Waterman of Gloucester, Sandra E. Waterman of Narragansett; a sister, Nancy Caputo of Rumford and eight grandchildren; Brooke, Brad, A.J., Kensey, Nolan, Seth, Brady and Ashleigh. A memorial service will be held Saturday 1 PM in the Peace Dale Congregational Church, Peace Dale. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
