Frank Charles Wallington

Frank C. Wallington, 77, of Wakefield, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Leslie H. (Harvey) Wallington, thru their insatiable love for each other they celebrated 56 years of marriage in August. Born in Minneapolis, MN, the son of the late Elsie (Wise) Wallington and Franklin Wallington.

Frank was a financial advisor for Edward Jones for 27 years before retiring and a Vietnam Coast Guard Veteran. He was a former member of the Westerly Rotary Club; loved traveling, golfing, kayaking, good food and spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed for his whitty and warm sense of humor.

Besides his loving wife he is survived by his cherished children, Kady Wallington-Nicksa and her husband Gary of Burlington, CT, Kristen Smith and her husband John of Westerly and his children of the heart, Joe and Nina Gomes of Narragansett; Grandchildren, Alexxys, Sarah and Noah; Great grandchildren, Aubreigh, Dustin and Dallas and many siblings of the heart.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024, 9 – 11 am, in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, followed by a funeral service at 11 am. Burial will follow with military honors in the R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
