Frank Everett Slader, 67, passed away at South County Hospital on Sunday, August 27, 2023, of natural causes.
He was born June 16, 1957 in Trier Germany to Helga (Mueller) and Everett Slader. Frank graduated from Eckerd College with a BA in Research Psychology before returning to Rhode Island to study Computer Information Systems at Brown University. Frank retired from Amica Mutual Insurance after 30 years of employment with their Systems Programming and Systems Information departments.
Frank loved to read and do Sudoku puzzles, he loved sports of any kind but especially baseball and hockey. He was a loving father and grandfather as well as a dedicated son and brother.
Frank is survived by his parents, Everett and Helga Slader and brother Michael Slader, all of Exeter. His wife/partner of 27 years Mary Beth Engle of Dayton, Ohio, and their five children Michael (Lacey Reel) Engle, Marques (Emily Sheehan) Engle, Keiran (Julie Jones) Engle, Rebekah (Kelly Haston II) Engle, and Karl (Macy Swathwood) Slader all of Dayton, Ohio. Frank is also survived by his 17 grandchildren: Avery, Makayla, Noah, Kai, Eliza, Nevaeh, Nya, Eternity, Jayden, Dominic, Lilyonah, Graisen, Amya, Gracen, Harper, Keegan, and Kelly as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his brother, Karl Slader, and his granddaughter, Aryiana Engle.
