Frank A. Nota, 70, of Wood Hill Rd., Narragansett, died Tuesday at South County Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Carol A. (Giuliano) Nota. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late A. Edward and Angela (Vessella) Nota. Mr. Nota was a Science Teacher for George West Junior High School and Central High School for twenty-eight years before retiring. He served in the US Army, was a past member of the Narragansett Town Council, a coach and past president of the Pop Warner Youth Football League, a member and past president of the South County Italian American Club and was a communicant of St. Mary Star of the Sea Church. Besides his wife he leaves sons, David F. Nota and his wife Susan of Charlotte, NC and Andrew E. Nota and his wife Michele of Narraganset;, daughter, Alyssa A. Nota and her husband Art Galarza of Torino, Italy; brother, A. Edward Nota and sister, Mary Ann Jones both of Providence and grandchildren, Alexa, Olivia, Matthew, Andrew and Kate. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 AM in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Pt. Judith Rd., Narragansett. Burial will be private. Visiting hours Thursday 5-8 PM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield.
