Francis L. Pitcher, 92, formerly of Highland Ave, Narragansett, died Monday at Scallop Shell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Louisa H. (Diman) Pitcher. Born in Granville, NY, he was the son of the late Lloyd D. and Clara B. (Perry) Pitcher. Mr. Pitcher was the former owner of Pitcher’s Garage in Perryville for seventeen years and an auto mechanic for over fifty years before retiring. He leaves two daughters, Stephanie Boldt of Seekonk, MA and Linda Cronin of Riverside. Three sisters, Elaine Carpenter of South Kingstown, Isabella Cupples of Ft. Pierce, FL and Marjorie Webb of Titusville, FL; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Earl “Pete” Pitcher. The funeral will be private. Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Donations in his memory may be made to Scallop Shell Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 981 Kingstown Rd., Peace Dale, RI 02879.
