Francis J. Dr. Pilch, Jr.

Dr. Francis J. Pilch, Jr., 75, of Wakefield, and formerly of Enfield, CT, died Thursday at home, following a lengthy battle with PSP. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Norris) Pilch. Born in Springfield, MA, he was a son of the late Francis J., Sr. and Louise (Misiorski) Pilch. Dr. Pilch was well known for his zest for life and he did everything with great passion: his family, friends, golf, bowling, boating, cards and love for the Lord. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Besides his wife he is survived by five children and their families: James and Linda Pilch and children, Caitlyn and Matthew Nye, and Alyse Pilch, of Enfield, CT, John and Terry Pilch and children Eric and Sam Pilch of Greenville, SC, Bernard and Kay Desmarais and children Jordan and Griffin Desmarais of Eden Prairie, MN, Kathryn and Brian McDonald and children Robert and Stephen McDonald of Ashland, MA, Dianne and Peter Annon and children Mary and Jack Annon of Concord, NH; and a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Yvette Pilch of Port Charlotte, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Monday at St. Romuald Chapel, Atlantic Street, Matunuck. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Sunday 3-6 PM.
