Born November 27, 1951, Frank was the son of the late Frank J. Day, Sr. and Barbara F. (Hoey) Day.
Independent and social, Frank loved a good conversation! A lifelong learner, he was an avid reader of books, magazines and daily newspapers. He followed radio talk shows politics, church, and national news, always asking questions and delving deeper into topics.
Frank was a devout Catholic who really loved his faith, involved in worship and service at various local parishes. A bit set in his ways, he loved a good meal, with good wine, and lively conversation. He thoroughly enjoyed regaling people with stories, especially at family gatherings. Frank also loved sports, and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees. In his younger years, Frank also looked forward to his hunting trips up North.
Growing up in Providence, Frank spent lots of time working and socializing on Federal Hill, and was happy to have recently moved back to the area.
Frank is survived by his sisters Maureen (Raymond) Lemieux, Jennifer (Michael) Marran, of Wakefield, and Mary (Paul) Grieco of Attleboro; brothers Peter (PFD-Ret) (Marilyn) Day, of Cranston, and Stephen (PFD-Ret) Day; and sister-in-law Cindy Day, of Providence. He predeceased by brothers (PFD) Michael J. and (PFD) Timothy J. Day. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed.
