Frances D. “Tess” Webster, 83, of South Pier Road, Narragansett, died Saturday at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of James V. Webster for sixty three years. Born in Narragansett, she was the daughter of the late John and Grace (McCullough) Woolley. Mrs. Webster worked as a secretary for the former Fifth Avenue School in Narragansett and as a receptionist for the U.R.I. School of Nursing before retiring. She was a member and on the Altar Guild of St. Peter’s By the Sea Episcopal Church. She was a founding member of the Jr. Women’s Club of South County and was an avid beachgoer especially loving the Narragansett Town Beach. Besides her husband she leaves, a son, Bradley Webster of Wakefield; daughters, Sharon Webster and her husband Richard Weiss of Narragansett; and Shelley Gama and her husband Robert of Sebastian, FL; grandchildren, Heather Daly and her husband Matthew; Julie Gama and her fiancé Kevin Donnelly; and Nicholas Gama and great granddaughter, Tess Virginia Daly. She was the mother of the late Bruce Webster. A Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 AM in St. Peter’s By the Sea Episcopal Church, 72 Central St., Narragansett. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
