Florence A. Ray

Florence A. Ray (Lawton), age 94, of Warwick, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Kent Regency. Born in Providence, she was the wife of the late Austin N. Ray. Mrs. Ray was a bookkeeper for the former Shoppers World for many years before retiring, then volunteered at the Pilgrim Senior Center in Warwick. She is survived by her sons, Donald A. Ray and his wife Ruth of Arlington, TX and Brian A. Ray and his wife Judy of Jamestown; two brothers, James Lawton and his wife Priscilla of Maine and Robert Lawton and his wife Barbara of Cranston; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Percy and Ruth (Waterman) Lawton, her daughter Jane M. Baer and siblings Donald Lawton and Dorothy Pentilla. Her funeral and burial will be private at Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
