Everett A. Colerick, 86, of Wakefield, died Sunday, June 30, 2013, following a brief illness. He was the husband of Winifred A. (Manning) Colerick for 54 years. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Edwin C. and Charlotte A. (Dalton) Colerick. Mr. Colerick served in the US Navy Seabees during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed singing and was a member of the West Bay Chorale as well as being a member of every choir in the churches he belonged to including St. Francis of Assisi Church. More recently he had been singing at the South Kingstown Senior Center, the Notables of Narragansett and many nursing homes as well as an active volunteer at the South Kingstown Senior Center. Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Michael E. Colerick of Plymouth, MA, Thomas E. Colerick of Biloxi MI, and Timothy P. Colerick of Warwick; two daughters, Patricia M. Colerick of Cranston and Mary E. Colerick of Warwick; ten grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Charlotte Colerick, Edwin Colerick, Walter Colerick, Mildred Brenner, Arthur and Lawrence Colerick. His funeral was held on Saturday, July 6, 2013,at 9 am from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High St., Wakefield, RI 02879 or South County Hospital, 100 Kenyon Ave., Wakefield, RI, would be appreciated.
