Everett M. “Pete” Burgess, 80, of Richmond, and formerly of Cranston, died unexpectedly at home on Sunday. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara (Beaumont) Burgess. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Everett and Ethel (Miller) Burgess. Mr. Burgess was employed by Federal Products and served honorably in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman who truly loved every moment he was able to go fishing with his grandchildren. He is survived by two children, Wendy O’Connell and her husband Richard and Steven Burgess and his wife Amy, all of Cranston; a step-son, John Robinson of Maine; five grandchildren, Nicolas O’Connell, Ricondo Cole, Max O’Connell, Abby Burgess, and James Burgess; a sister Lurana Gauvin of Cranston; and his beloved dog, D 2. Visiting hours will be at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Wednesday 4-7 p.m. Funeral and burial will be private.
