Evelyn Sauerwald

Evelyn Sauerwald , 81, of Naples, FL and Wakefield, RI, died Monday in Naples. She was the beloved wife of William Sauerwald. Born in Elmhurst, NY, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Estelle (Fordonski) Knespler. Mrs. Sauerwold was co-owner with her husband of Sauerwald's Florist in Middle Village, NY for many years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed bingo. She is survived by a son, Richard Sauerwald of Naples, FL and a daughter, Ann Sauerwald-Potter of East Quogue, NY; grandchildren, Paxton and Brooke Sauerwald, William and John Potter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:00 AM in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Rd., Kingston. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
