Evelyn W. Kenyon

October 17, 1922 — December 24, 2015

Evelyn W. Kenyon, 93, of Matunuck, passed away peacefully on Thursday. She was the wife of the late Hiram Kenyon. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Raymer and Gertrude (Swarts) Weeden. Mrs. Kenyon was a Teacher’s Aide at the Matunuck Elementary School. She was a longtime member of the Perryville Bible Church. In her spare time she enjoyed oil painting, spending time at the beach, and had great love for animals, especially horses. She is survived by three children, Jean Fitzpatrick of Matunuck, Margaret Linton of Exeter, and Robert “Yogi” Kenyon of Matunuck; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and was looking forward to the arrival of her third great grandchild. She was the sister of the late William Weeden and Joan Brackett. Visiting hours will be at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Wednesday, 3-5, followed by a memorial service at 5 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Perryville Bible Church, 220 Moonstone Beach Road, Wakefield, RI 02879.
