Evelyn T. (Healy) Holloway, 97, of South Kingstown, RI passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 21, 2026, with her loving family by her side. A daughter of the late Freeman A. and Mary E. (Whaley) Healy and the beloved wife of the late John Eugene Holloway, Evelyn was a lifelong resident of South Kingstown.

Evelyn was born on Pond St. in South Kingstown which is right next to the family home. She held many fond memories of her childhood, especially those of her and her sister tracking planes from an old mill building. Even though some of her stories were set long ago, her amazing memory never wavered. Evelyn worked as a bookkeeper for many years for several different businesses. She went from Old Mountain Lanes to Healy News - the family business - then The Branch and O'Neil's Oil. Evelyn was very deeply devout to her faith and would often say that her key to life was: "Always be happy, have a strong faith in the Lord and have a great sense of humor. Evelyn took great joy in helping those in need and donated often to Southern Volunteers of RI, UNICEF, and several other organizations. In her leisure time, Evelyn enjoyed travelling the world with her late sister. Most of all, Evelyn loved the company of her friends and family and was very kind and loving to all she met.

Evelyn is survived by her sons, Gary Gregory Holloway of Wakefield, RI, and Robert Don Holloway and his fiancée Brenda Dailey of Warwick, RI; her daughter, Geneva Elizabeth Cloutier of Wakefield, RI, and her daughter by choice, Laurie Hopkins Hines of Charlestown, RI; her sixteen grandchildren, thirty nine great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late John Holloway, Richard Holloway and Dennis Holloway and the sister of the late Richard Healy, Freeman Healy Jr., Elizabeth Brown and Radcliffe Healy.

Services are in the care of Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St. Wakefield, RI 02879. A Committal Service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 11AM at the Rhode Island Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 301 S. County Trail, Exeter, RI 02822.
