Evelyn B. Caswell

Evelyn (Ballinger) Caswell, 94, of Caswell Court, Narragansett, passed away peacefully at home on February 4, 2011. She was born August 7, 1916 in Lowell, MA, a daughter of the late William Ernest and Anna Marie (Anderson) Ballinger. She was an inspector for the Navy during World War II and worked for car dealerships in Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. She retired from Don Panciera Chevrolet in 1978. She enjoyed bowling, walking, and playing the piano. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband George Clarkson Caswell; brothers William and Robert Ballinger; sister Doris Candy; son George A. Caswell; and grandson Brian H. Caswell. She is survived by her son William S. Caswell and his wife Rachelle of Austin, KY; grandchildren George F. Caswell and his wife Diane of Hope Valley; William S. Caswell, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Hillsboro, NH; Sandra J. Dayon of Wakefield; and Stephen B. Caswell of South Kingstown; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be private.
