Eugene P. Seney

Eugene P. Seney, 79, of Peace Dale, passed away Monday, June 9, 2025 at South County Hospital. He was the loving husband of Karen A. (Shurtleff) Seney. Born in Brockton, MA, he was a son of the late George and Hester (DeCosta) Seney.

Eugene had a deep love for the outdoors, especially for fresh and saltwater fishing and always waiting to catch the big one. He cherished time with his grandchildren, often joining them in playful activities in the yard.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Leeann Phaneuf (Caylen Plante), Robert Phaneuf (Emma Phaneuf), Kristian Seney and the late Paul Seney, seven grandchildren, and his siblings Carol Navarre, Jacqueline Seney, Jeanne Cobb, Geroge Seney and Joanne Conner . He was the brother of the late Bernedette McGill, Dolores Dagg, Phyllis Nealon, Annette Paul and Jean Paul Seney.

Visitation for Eugene will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 9:30 to 10:30 in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. A Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM will follow in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Rd, Kingston. Burial will follow in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston.
