Eugene D. Armstrong

Eugene D. Armstrong, 72, of Wakefield, passed away unexpectedly Friday December 21st.He was the devoted companion of Rhonda Redden for 20 years. Born in Damariscotta, Maine, he was a son of the late Fred Armstrong and Maxine McKay. Mr. Armstrong was employed at the Peace Dale Mill Complex for 40 years. He enjoyed camping golfing, and drag racing, and was a 25 year member of the New England Association of Truck Pulling. Besides his companion, he is survived by two children, Rachel LeRoy of West Warwick and Cameron Armstrong of Wakefield; his companion Rhondas children, James Minson, Ethan Minson, Mae Minson, and April Duff an her husband Michael; a brother Albert Armstrong and his wife Maria of Maine; and nine grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, on Saturday, December 29th from 1-3 pm. Burial will be private.
