Estelle J. Whitehead

Estelle J. Whitehead, 100, formerly of Narragansett and Pawtucket, died Tuesday. She was the wife of the late Marshall C. Whithead and Walter M. Czapiga. Born in Poland, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Sophia (Starzak) Korabiowski. Mrs. Whitehead worked at Texas Instrument in Attleboro, MA for ten years and for Elderly Affairs in Providence for ten years before retiring in 1995. She was a member of American legion Post #76 Central Falls and was active in Seniors Helping Others, receiving an accommodation for her work. She leaves a daughter Sandra J. Erickson of Jamestown; three step children; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by five brothers and six sisters. A prayer service will be held Friday at noon in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
