Ernest Preston Gaboury

Ernest Preston Gaboury Sr, 79, of Narragansett, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Ethel (Kohr) Gaboury for 62 wonderful years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Wilfred Gaboury (Sr.) and Ruth (Jordan) Gaboury. Ernie was a Senior Wire Buyer for American Insulated Wire in Pawtucket, RI for 40 years prior to his retirement in December 2002. During his retirement years, Ernie enjoyed spending time with his beloved Ethel, playing golf, reading, puzzles, walking his dog Cuddles, and gazing at the ocean out his front door. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Gloria Peters and her husband Mark of Naperville, IL; and son Ernest P. Gaboury Jr. Deputy Chief (Ret.) North Kingstown Fire Department and his wife Sandra (Pearson) of Homosassa, FL. He was preceded in death by his son Victor J. Gaboury in 2011 and his brother Wilfred Gaboury (Jr.) in 1978. He is also survived by his grandchildren Alyssa Fort, Kimberly Linares, Jessica Myszak, Courtney Peters, Mark Evan Peters, Michelle Gaboury, Victor Gaboury Jr., and Daniel Gaboury, their mother Dawn Gaboury and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be private.
