ROBINSON, ELIZABETH “BETTY” (PAULL) passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on October 17, 2014. She was 99, a resident of Matunuck Hills, South County, and widow of Knight Dexter Robinson. She was born in Providence on January 3, 1915, and was a daughter of Russell M. Paull and Ruth (Kettelty) Paull. She graduated in Interior Design from the Rhode Island School of Design and consulted on various projects with her husband, a partner in the architectural firm of Robinson, Green and Beretta. They were avid S-boat racers in Narragansett Bay. In Providence she was active in the Sophia Little Home, Planned Parenthood, Wheeler School, the Handicraft Club, the Rhode Island Yacht Club and the Central Congregational Church. After her husband’s retirement, they moved to their home in the Matunuck Hills. In South County she was the treasurer of the South County Garden Club, a member of the South County Women’s Club, and the oldest member of the Willow Dell Beach Club. She is survived by her daughters Rowena Okie of Canton, Connecticut; Eugenia Robinson and her husband, Alfred Bartlett, of Chevy Chase, Maryland; and three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The family would like to express their gratitude for the loving care of the staff at South Bay Retirement Living and of Home Hospice. The burial will be a private family service.
