Elizabeth Betty Mac Mckeown

Elizabeth “Betty Mac” McKeown, 72, of Wakefield, died Tuesday, October 1st. She was the beloved wife of John Mackie. Born in Framingham, MA she was a daughter of the late Henry and Rita (Parkhurst) McKeown. Mrs. McKeown was a Registered Nurse for many years at various facilities. Most recently she worked at the former LADD School for the State of Rhode Island, where she retired from. She was a friend of “Bill W” and will be remembered for helping many people during her lifetime. Besides her husband she is survived by three children, Julie MacMullen of Narragansett, Jeffrey MacMullen of Coventry, and Gregory MacMullen of Kingsland, GA; five grandchildren, Leah Boisclair, Wyatt MacMullen, Shelbie MacMullen, Chelsea Coen, and Lorenzo MacMullen; a brother and his wife, Richard and Gail McKeown of Holliston, MA; as well as two nephews and many cousins. She was the mother of the late Brian MacMullen. Visiting hours will be Saturday at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, from 1-4 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 4 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Framingham Heart Study, 73 Mt. Wayte Avenue, Suite 2, Framingham, MA 01702-5827.
