Elizabeth S. Mason

Elizabeth Mason, of Saunderstown, passed peacefully at home on Thursday, February 25, 2021. She was born April 10 in Ratibor, Germany to Karl Bochenek and Sophie (Gans) Bochenek. She met her first husband, Peter Castelvecchi, while he was stationed in Germany. She is predeceased by her brother, Rudolph Bochenek, and her loving husband, John Mason. An accomplished realtor for many years, Elizabeth was known for her youthful spirit, engaging personality, and her strong and unyielding faith. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Jane Stach, her step-children, Patricia Broekhuizen and John Mason and his wife, Paula, her grandson, Michael and his wife Molly; her four great-grandsons, Owen, Ryan, Drew, and Myles; and Jane’s adopted daughter, MacKenzie, as well as her step-grandchildren, Christian, James Mason, and Kristi Duchor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 10 a.m., at Saint Thomas More in Narragansett, RI. Reception to follow.
