Elizabeth Kane
LeValley
February 17, 1938 – April 9, 2026
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Kane LeValley, age 88, who died peacefully in her sleep on April 9th, 2026, in South Kingstown, Rhode Island.
Elizabeth was the beloved wife of Warren LeValley, who survives her after 29 years of marriage. Born on February 17, 1938, Beth grew up in Scituate, Rhode Island, as one of seven siblings. Possessing a core of steel within her small frame, she used her college education to get out of a difficult home life, found a way to thrive following a difficult divorce, and earned her Master's degree to become a reading teacher while raising two teenagers.
Beth had a deep love for singing and classical music. She also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, from babies and M&M's, to butter pecan ice cream cones. As a dedicated educator, she shared her passion for word games and reading with her grandchildren. Throughout her life, supporting charitable organizations remained a central part of her life.
Over the last 29 years Beth and Warren made several trips to England and Europe. From 2003 through 2021 they became snowbirds, and spent their winters in Titisville, Florida, where they became actively involved in St. Lukes Presbyterian church.
In 2003 they became members of Wakefield Baptist church, where Beth took up an active role in the church life. Choir membership being the major role.
We will remember Beth for her towering faith in God, kindness to strangers in grocery store lines, her innate graciousness, and for her unwavering support for the people she loved.
Beth was mother to two daughters, Pamela and Karen, step mother to Warren's three children, Gayle, Robert and Charles. She was grandmother to her daughter's three children, Andres, Marcelo and Ferrett as well as eight of Warren's grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is survived by her five siblings, Gini, Lila, David, Mary and Mark. She is predeceased by her parents, Alice (Baird) and Marcus Bryan, and her brother Paul.
A funeral service will be held in honor of Beth's life on Saturday, April 18th at 10am at the Wakefield Baptist Church, 236 Main St. Wakefield, RI 02879. Burial will follow in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston, RI
