Elizabeth M. Chin, 72, of South Kingstown, RI, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, September 12, 2026. She was predeceased by her parents, Tony Yoke Chin and Ting Shew Chin. Elizabeth was the wife of Dan Fisher. They met in New York City and were married for 33 years. Elizabeth was the devoted mother of three daughters, Beryl, Wynn, and Isabelle Fisher, who were her pride and joy.

She is survived by her siblings Sandra Lai, Paul Chin, Pamela Cheung, Patricia Tam (Steven), Susan Chin, and Matthew Chin. Her nieces and nephews include Margaret Lai-Bates (Toby), Timothy Lai (Katherine), Raymond Cheung (Valerie), Christina Cheung, Andrew Cheung, and Eric Tam. She also has several great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers-in-laws Jack Lai and Alfred Cheung.

Elizabeth was born in Hong Kong and raised in Providence, Rhode Island. She graduated with a business degree from Boston University and went on to work in San Francisco and New York City. In 1996, her family moved to Brunswick, Maine, where she took time off work to raise her three girls. In 2002 they moved to South Kingston, Rhode Island where she eventually returned to work as a business systems analyst.

Elizabeth loved animals and over the years enjoyed spending time with the family's pet dog, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, hermit crabs, and fish. She also enjoyed world traveling, especially with her girls. Elizabeth was an avid reader and lifelong fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. She was loved deeply by her friends and family.

Services are private. Donations in her memory may be made to the Potter League for Animals or the ASPCA.
