Elinor G. Aregood

Elinor G. Aregood, 88, of Wakefield, RI, passed away Monday, February 12th. She was the beloved wife of the late John S. "Jack" Aregood. Born in East Hartford, CT, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Pearl (Mckissick) Barney. Mrs. Aregood was the Secretary to the Superintendent of the East Hartford School System, for many years. Her family would like to express much thanks and gratitude to staff, RNs, and CNAs at the Royal Westerly Nursing Home, for their care and compassion, especially Diane her special caregiver, whom she had become very attached to and loved dearly. She is survived by a son and daughter Greg and Rheina Aregood of Westerly, RI; a sister, Jean Atkins of Litchfield, CT; and her closest friends, Tony and Nancy Temple of South Windsor, CT. She was predeceased by a son, Steven Aregood. A funeral service will be held Saturday February 24th at 10 am in the Avery-Storti Funeral home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, RI. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
