Eleanor Grace Sharpe Fraleigh

Eleanor Grace Sharpe Fraleigh, 91, of Narragansett, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020. She was the beloved wife of John Blackmon Fraleigh for 61 years. Born in Bridgewater, Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Myrtle (Glover) Sharpe. Mrs. Fraleigh was a skilled downhill skier. She won many medals and awards and also placed as 3rd alternate for the winter Olympics. She was a member of the Chapel of St. John the Divine Episcopal Church in Saunderstown. Besides her husband she is survived by her children; Joan Arnold, Janet Cahoone, Susan Davis, Robert Fraleigh, and Peter Willcox; fourteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings; Dorothea "Dodie" Crampton, Barbara LaBelle, Una Pauline "Polly" Sawyer, Henrietta Smith, and Robert McQueen Sharpe. The family has requested that only family and close friends attend the Requiem Eucharist on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 1pm in the Chapel of St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, 10 Church Way, Saunderstown.
