Eleanor “Ellie” A. Dykstra, 68, of Wakefield, wife, passed away November 23rd, at home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of William “Bill” Dykstra, II. Born in Norfolk, VA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Gaynell (Roberts) Zukowski. She was a graduate of Florida Southern College with a degree in elementary education and taught for six years in Florida before marrying Bill and moving to Rhode Island. She spent 22 years serving in the Emmaus Community and more recently, she was known to many as a cashier at our local CVS, and “The Flower Lady” all around Wakefield. Ellie volunteered in numerous ways within her church and community. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and will be missed by many. Besides her husband she is survived by her daughters, Tammy Mottice and Katie Laraway and grandchildren, Alexis, Nick, Britney and Stephanie Laraway. Visiting hours will be Friday, November 26th from 3:00pm – 7:00pm, Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. A memorial service will be held, Saturday, December 4th at 1:00pm, Wakefield Baptist Church, 236 Main Street, Wakefield, with a reception immediately following the service at the church.
