Elaine B. Lagor-Maynard

Elaine B. Lagor-Maynard passed away Friday, October 26, 2012 at the home of her son Joseph and daughter-in-law Jennifer, in Pottstown, PA. She is also survived by her sons William and his wife Carolyn of Hinsdale, IL and John and Michelle of Avon Lake, OH. Elaine was born January 18, 1938 in Providence to the late Blanche and Norman Montminy. The oldest of 5, she leaves behind siblings Norman, Maureen, Nancy and William. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Vincent C. Maynard. She and her former husband William Jr. raised their three sons in Pawtucket, enjoying summers in Matunuck before she became a year-round resident in 1997. It was Matunuck Beach where her greatest joy was spending time with her 12 grandchildren. Her life will be celebrated Saturday, November 3, 2012 with an 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Romuald Chapel, Atlantic Ave, Matunuck. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 am to 10:30 AM at Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street. A private burial will be held on Monday. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Elaine B. Lagor-Maynard and earmarked for her dear niece's fight against cancer or The Hill School and awarded in Elaine's memory to a student in need.
