Elaine P. Carpenter

Elaine P. Carpenter, 94, of Wakefield, died Tuesday. She was the wife of the late S. Curtis Carpenter. Born in Granville, NY, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd D. and Clara (Perry) Pitcher. She was a member of the Perryville Bible Church and a former member of the Fairlawn Baptist Church in Ft. Pierce, FL. She is survived by three daughters; Janet Vanderlaan of Perryville, Marion Gledhill of Decatur, In, Sandra Roberts of Narragansett; two sisters; Isabella Cuppels of Ft. Pierce, FL, Marjorie Webb of New Smyrna, FL; ten grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Francis Pitcher and Earl “Pete” Pitcher. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 9:30 AM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will follow in Perryville Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday 6-8 PM.
