Eileen Barbara Torres

Eileen Barbara Clark Torres, born October 29, 1933 to the late Madeline May O’Dell and Alan Carpron Clark. Raised in Cumberland by her precious grandparents Ella and Fred O’Dell. She took her final steps on her ascension to be with the Lord on Friday, January 29, 2016 succumbing to an unexpected and rapid growing cancer. She passed away peacefully at her home in West Kingston “The Torres Compound”. She was comforted by her family and her devoted caregivers. Barbara was a lover of children and animals. She enjoyed crafting, quilting, sewing, reading, genealogy, and watching boxing. Barbara was predeceased one year ago by her husband of 52 years Guadolupe “Lou” Torres. She leaves behind her daughter and only child Kathleen McCartney of Florida and Rhode Island, her loving dog Andy Boy; grandchildren Brian Lee McCartney of San Diego, California, Kristen Eileen Piemontese of California, and Kelly Maureen McCartney of Florida; great-grandchildren Cheyenne age 19, Dakota 11, Andrew 9, and Jaxson 18 Months. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a celebration of life to follow in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will be private.
