Eileen T. Naughton, died May 21, 2026 at South County Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Pawtucket, RI, to Anthony B. and Catherine M. (Walsh) Naughton on December 23, 1931. Raised in Providence, she graduated from the former St. Xavier's Academy. Eileen had a career as an Executive secretary with Hospital Trust Bank and Van Liew Trust Company. For many years she served as an interview judge for the RI Academia Decathlon.

In retirement Eileen volunteered as a driver for seniors and a volunteer for the San Miguel School. She was a history buff and an avid reader. She wrote multiple, unpublished, short stories and loved the game Scrabble.

Eileen was the sister of Raymond A. Naughton (wife Cathleen deceased) and the late Dorothy M. Naughton. She was the beloved Aunt to Raymond A. Naughton, Jr of Warwick, Caroline M. Rumowicz (children, Lydia C. and Grace M.) of North Kingstown, Kathleen M. Cassels (Peter, Sr., children Timothy F., William R., Peter F., Jr., and Cathleen M.) of Chelmsford, MA and Paul M. Naughton (Emily, children Courtney E., Michael M., Isabella Y., and John P) of North Kingstown.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 1st at 10 am in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland St., Narragansett, RI. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, 73 Church St., Cranston, RI.
