Eileen Claire Donnelly

Eileen (Ward) Donnelly, age 90, of Green Hill, RI, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 25, 2021. She was the devoted and loving wife of the late William Donnelly for 48 years. Born in Providence, RI, Eileen was the daughter of the late Francis and Anna (Byron) Ward. Eileen was the sister of Mary Lorraine Mattos and Ann Booth. She was the beloved and faithful Aunty of 29 nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed. Eileen was a graduate of St. Xavier Academy in Providence. She worked for New England Telephone and Durant, Connelly, Gallagher Insurance Company as an Office Manager for more than 20 years until her retirement. Eileen remained single until she met the love of her life, Bill. They were wed on June 9, 1973. She was a member of the South Kingstown Elks and Green Hill Beach Club. Visitation will be private. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. A memorial Mass and celebration of her life will be held in the near future.
