Edwin L. Field

Edwin L. Field 78, of Charlestown, died Friday at home. He was the husband of Peggy A. (Johnson) Field, and they were married 23 years. Born in Athens Greece, he was a son of the late Charles and Dimitra (Nicholides) Field. Mr. Field was employed for Citibank for over 25 years, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed planting trees, gardening and he built his Charlestown home. He is survived by a son, Edwin J. Field of Las Vegas, NV, two step-daughters, Gretchen Murphy of Carmel, NY and Sharon Butler of Warwick, and two grandchildren, Ashley Field and Justin Field, both of San Diego, CA. A Funeral service will be Tuesday at 10 AM in the AVERY-STORTI Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Monday 6-8 PM.
