Edward Churchill White

Edward Churchill White, 92, of Wakefield, died Wednesday. He was the husband of Hazel (Wright) White and the late Roberta (Mackle) White. Born in Mt. Vernon, NY, he was a son of the late Charles Samuel and Arlene (Albrect) White. Mr. White served in the United Sates Air Force, retiring as Lt. Colonel. After serving his country, he worked for New England Telephone as a systems supervisor for 37 years. He was past president of CLCF in Cranston. Besides his wife, he is survived by six children, Richard A. White of Englewood, FL, Karen E. Walker of Wakefield, Patricia A. Aldrich of Wakefield, Marilyn Henderson of Wakefield, Margaret J. Meehan of Narragansett, and Ted J. White, DVM of Wakefield; nineteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; two stepsons, Scott Meiklejohn of Warwick and Mark Meiklejohn of Exeter; and five step-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Robert Straton White and Philip Roper White. Funeral and burial services will be private.
