Edward J. Vallette

Edward J. Vallette, 78, of South Kingstown passed away Friday, April 10, 2015. He was the former husband of Patricia Duckworth Vallette and the late Jeanne Dyer Vallette. Mr. Vallette served in the United States Army. He then worked as a surveyor for the State of Rhode Island for many years before retiring. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing and the Red Sox. He was the loving father of Andrea Vallette and Danielle Neary; grandfather of Alicia Vallette, Alexandra, Liam and Arya Neary; brother of Elizabeth Ash, Richard Vallette, Olinda MacDonald, James Vallette and Donna Coyne; stepfather of Edward, Gregory, Brian and Michael Duckworth, Karen Duquette and Kathy Codner. He also leaves 20 step grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren and was the step grandfather of the late Nicholas Duckworth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, April 17, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High St., Wakefield. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield.
