Edward T. Sylvia Jr., 54, of Narragansett, passed away Tuesday, August 16th, surrounded by his family. Together for 35 years, he is the loving husband of Lesley (Amey) Sylvia, married for 27 years. He was born in Providence, RI to his parents, Edward and Maureen (Tiernan) Sylvia. Eddie was a well-respected and known Master Plumber of 33 years. He mentored and worked side-by-side the last five years with his son Jack. Additionally, he spent many years as the Superintendent of the Water Department for the town of Narragansett. An accomplished fisherman and boater, Eddie enjoyed spending time on the water. He cherished the times he spent with his many friends and valued his friendships greatly. He would've given anyone the shirt off his back, the tools out of his garage, or the beer out of his hand. Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by his children; Rachel Sylvia, and Jack Sylvia, his sisters; Loree Mason, AnnMarie Louzon (and husband Craig), Nancy Coia (and husband Dennis), Kathy Quirk (and husband Ray), and Kristen Giblin (and husband Steve), as well as many nieces and nephews who adored ‘Uncle Eddie’. There are not enough words to describe how incredible Ed Sylvia is, was, and always will be. He was the life of the party and he will be sorely missed each and every day by those who love him. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, August 22nd from 4-7 pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home,88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Funeral services and burial will be private.
