Edward J. Norton

Edward J. Norton, 77, of Charlestown, passed away Saturday at home. He was the beloved husband of Claudette (Manna) Norton. Born in Caughnawaga, Canada, he was a son of the late Frank and Ivory (Rogers) Norton. Mr. Norton enjoyed playing golf in his spare time. Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Michael Norton of Medfield, MA, Edward Norton of Buffalo, NY, and Mary Jane Uckerman of Poughkeepsie, NY; two step children, Tracy Villanova of Mahopac, NY and Glen Courtney of Charlestown; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a brother, James Norton of Naples, FL. He was the brother of the late Robert Norton and stepfather of the late Jack Courtney. A celebration of his life will be held at 11 am Wednesday in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will be private and visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
