Edward J. "Jim" Hawkins, Jr., 63, of Canterbury Rd., Green Hill, died Saturday at home. He was the loving husband of Ann M. (Blade) Hawkins. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Theresa (Donnelly) Hawkins. Mr. Hawkins was a Providence Firefighter and a RI state worker before retiring. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a member of the Green Hill Beach Club. Besides his wife he leaves daughters, Kathryn Askew and her husband Steve, Karla Frezza and her husband Joe and Kendra Guilfoyle; a brother, Peter Hawkins; a sister, Mary Jane (Hawkins) and her husband Christopher Ougheltree; granddaughter, Regan Askew, mother in law Mary Blade and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Charles Hawkins. The funeral will be Wednesday 9:00 AM from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High St., Wakefield.
