Edward C. Bruno, Jr.,57, of Hope Valley, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022. Born in Westerly, he was a son of Edward and Carole (Steiger) Bruno. Edward was an avid fisherman Deep sea and fresh water; enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson; although he loved all types of music he always remained A true Dead-head, a 12-year volunteer for the Rhythm and Roots Festival. Edward loved his home on Locustville Pond, a family vacation spot, turned into his own slice of heaven, where you could most certainly find him behind his grill with a big smile on his face; while he watched his family laugh and enjoy a warm summer day. His lust for life and the people he loved will always be the way he is remembered. Besides his parents, he was the devoted father to his daughter, Hannah Bruno, and his late son Nathan E. Bruno. Edward was the loving Husband of 14 years to Mary Marchetti, he is surpassed by Sister Robin Kennedy (Bruno) and brother Robert Bruno; three stepchildren, Megan Marchetti, Nicholas Mack and Hailee Mack and six grandchildren, Xavier Hazard, Tobias Silva, Sailor-Hope Silva, Jimi Locke, Marli Veah Bruno and Lilly Hasley Burke along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Entombment and Committal Service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 11:30 AM at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, RI. Immediately following the cemetery, a celebration of life will take place at the Westerly Elks Club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mission 22, 694 N Larch St #910, Sisters, OR 97759 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
