Edward F. Baker, Jr., 82, of Charlestown, passed away at home on Sunday. He was the husband of Gail (Allen) Baker and the late Dolores (Albrecht) Baker. Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late Edward F. Sr. and Margaret Baker. Mr. Baker was employed for the Hostess Company of 33 years and after retiring he became a commercial fisherman. He was a member of the Teamsters and in his spare time he enjoyed the time he spent with his family and fishing. Besides his wife, he is survived by ten children; Joseph Baker of Charlestown, Ivan Bliven of New Hampshire, Jason Bliven of Charlestown, Timothy Baker of South Kingstown, Bowen Bliven of New Hampshire, Rhonda Tyre of South Carolina, Carleen Fredette of South Kingstown, Laurie Baker-Flynn of San Francisco, CA, and Anthony Baker of Pawtucket; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ann Prosser of Marco Island FL and Agnes Gagne of Cumberland. He was the father of the late Kevin Bliven (a.k.a. Kiev Tuen Pariseau Atreides) and brother of the late Margaret Mallory. A funeral service will be held at 11 am Thursday in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial with military honors will follow in White Brook Cemetery, Carolina. Visiting hours are Wednesday 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 2348 Post Rd #202, Warwick, RI 02886.
