Edmond Emile Mailloux

August 2, 1931 — April 15, 2017

Edmond E. Mailloux, 85, of Wakefield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 15, 2017. He was surrounded by his family. Ed was born in New Bedford, MA a son of the late Albert and Jeanne (Ouellette) Mailloux. He was the beloved husband of Marjorie L. (Camara) Mailloux for 61 blessed years. Ed was a Korean War Army vet and the maintenance supervisor at the Prout School for many years before retiring. Over the years, he worked on carpentry projects large and small. Ed created personal keepsakes which will live on in the hearts of many. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Karen Chavez and her husband Daniel of Centennial, CO and Noreen Brown of Cardiff, CA; a granddaughter, Jessica Chavez of Austin, TX; a brother, Rene Mailloux of Lakeville, MA and a sister, Germaine Delisle of Lakeville, MA. He was brother of the late Donald and Roland Mailloux. The family wishes to extend their gratitude for all the help they received from Hope Hospice Care of RI and South County Health Visiting Nurses, especially Deb and Allen. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 9:30 am in St. Romauld Chapel, 61 Atlantic Ave., Matunuck. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. The family will be having a Celebration of Life gathering at the family home at a time to be announced in late July or early August.
